Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is this community?
A: This community is a space for professionals to connect, learn, and exchange practical insights related to ITIL, service and product management, and related disciplines. It’s designed to support peer discussion, knowledge sharing, and ongoing engagement beyond formal courses or certifications.

Q: Who is this community for?
A: The community is for practitioners, partners, and professionals interested in applying ITIL and service management principles in real-world environments. Whether you’re early in your journey or deeply experienced, the value comes from participating and learning from others.

Q: I’m in — what should I do first?
A:
  1.  Complete your profile  so others understand who you are, where you’re located and what you’re interested in.
  1. Introduce yourself in the community—share your role, background, or what you’re hoping to learn.
  1. Explore discussions and events that align with your interests and jump in when something resonates.
A complete profile and a short introduction go a long way toward meaningful connections, and will help others find and connect with you.

Q: How should I introduce myself?
A: Keep it simple. Share your role, area of focus, and what brought you to the community. You don’t need a formal bio—just enough context to help others engage with you naturally.

Q: How do I connect with others in the community?
A: Use the search bar to find members, topics, or skills that interest you. Follow discussions, reply to posts, ask questions, or add your perspective when you have something to contribute. You don’t need to be an expert to participate—everyone is on their own learning journey and can support one another with insights!

Q: How should I participate in discussions?
A: Be constructive, curious, and respectful. Share experiences, ask thoughtful questions, and keep contributions relevant to the topic. This is a professional community focused on learning and exchange, not promotion or sales.

Q: Are there rules or guidelines for posting?
A: Yes. Discussions should remain professional, respectful, and on topic. Do not share confidential or proprietary information. For more detail, refer to the  Community Guidelines  document.

Q: How do I manage my notifications?
A: You can control how often you receive email or in-app notifications by updating your preferences in your profile settings. This includes alerts for posts, replies, and events.

Q: Where can I find events, discussions, or resources?
A: Events, featured discussions, and shared resources are posted directly within the community. Check regularly or adjust your notification settings to stay informed about upcoming activity.

Q: I can’t access a page or feature. What should I do?
A: Start by refreshing your browser or clearing your cache. If the issue continues, use the Help link in the menu to contact the community support team. You can also reach out to the Community Team at  [email protected] .
